LGBTQ+ Comedy Night James Barr & Friends
- Welcome drink
- Gift Bag
- Night of hilarious comedy
The line-up who you'll see

Joe Sutherland
Joe Sutherland is a comedian, actor and writer with razor-sharp observations and a gloriously dry take on queer life, pop culture and everything in between. He’s appeared on Roast Battle, Hypothetical and The Stand Up Sketch Show, alongside performing extensively on the live comedy circuit. Expect wit, camp and the sort of observations you wish you’d thought of first
@jomodity
James Barr
James Barr is a multi-award-winning comedian, presenter and co-host of the hugely popular LGBTQ+ podcast A Gay and a NonGay. Known for brilliantly candid queer storytelling, James has toured acclaimed stand-up shows across the UK and is also a familiar voice on Hits Radio Breakfast. His comedy is bold, personal and very, very funny — exactly why we wanted him headlining the night.

Kate Martin
Kate Martin is a stand-up comedian and presenter whose high-energy storytelling and razor-sharp observations find the funny in life through a distinctly queer lens. Away from comedy, Kate has a long history of LGBTQ+ advocacy and previously served as Chair of London Friend — making her the perfect person to keep our comedians (and audience) in line for the evening.

Ciara O’Connor
Ciara O’Connor is one of the most exciting emerging voices in queer comedy. Her writing has featured on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, she’s performed at venues including The Clapham Grand and Top Secret Comedy Club, and has supported the likes of Kate Butch, Juno Birch and Grace Petrie on tour. Smart, brilliantly silly and one to watch.

Finally a gay event where I felt seen
I'm 47 and most gay events make me feel ancient. This one had every type of guy — single, coupled, all ages.
— Marcus · Comedy night, JuneMy first gay event ever
Was so nervous to come alone. Within 10 minutes someone introduced themselves at the bar.
— Theo · Comedy night, JuneWorth every penny (which is barely any)
£10 for a line-up that would cost £40 anywhere else, plus a drink and a gift bag.
