UK pharmacy partner
The pharmacy bit

Dispensed by a real, UK-registered pharmacy

We're the digital health service — the front door, the questionnaire, the experience designed for gay men. The actual prescription is dispensed by a fully GPhC-registered UK pharmacy partner. That's how it has to work by law, and it's how it should work. We don't pretend to be a pharmacy. We work with one.

That means your medication goes through the same checks any prescription would at the high street pharmacy — but without the awkward bit. Same regulated UK supply chain, same quality, same standards. Just in a plain brown box on your doormat.

Be honest with yourself. We'll be honest with you

Not every treatment is right for every guy. A real doctor reviews your consultation and may say no — that's the whole point.

This is for you

Guys ready to do something about it

  • You're 18 or over and live in the UK
  • You want to take charge — without awkward conversations
  • You'd rather fill in the form online than wait 3 weeks for a GP
  • You want a clinician who understands gay men
  • You value privacy. Plain packaging, GP only told if you ask
Not the right fit

Maybe not the right fit if

  • You're under 18 or based outside the UK
  • You want to avoid speaking to a clinician at all
  • You expect no questions asked — these are prescriptions
  • You have health conditions that make these treatments unsafe
  • You're not ready to be honest in the consultation

All treatments require a valid prescription reviewed by a UK clinician.

FAQs

The questions everyone asks

If you've got a question we haven't covered, ask — there's no embarrassing question we haven't heard.

Is this safe?

Yes. Every order is reviewed by a real UK-registered clinician before any prescription is approved. Your medication is dispensed by a GPhC-registered UK pharmacy. The treatments themselves are all licensed in the UK and used millions of times a year.

If a treatment isn't right for you, the clinician will say so — and may suggest something different or decline the order entirely. That's the system working as intended.

Will my GP find out?

Only if you ask us to tell them.

During your questionnaire we'll ask if you'd like us to share information with your GP. The default is no. Some people prefer their GP to know everything for safety reasons — that's a personal choice and we respect it either way.

How discreet is the packaging, really?

Plain brown box or padded envelope. No Friend of Dorothy logo on the outside. No medication name visible. No giveaway labels.

The shipping label has your name and address. That's it. If your housemate, family member, or partner sees the parcel, they can't tell what's inside.

I'm not out. Is this OK to use?

Absolutely. Privacy is the entire point of what we do.

Nothing on your bank statement says "Friend of Dorothy" or anything that could out you — the charge shows as a generic descriptor. The packaging is unmarked. The email confirmations don't mention what's inside. We've built this for guys who need this stuff to be invisible to everyone except themselves.

Why are some products on this page not named clearly?

UK law restricts how prescription-only medications can be advertised. We can't name active ingredients in marketing — that's why our treatments have brand names like Hard On Demand, Bareback Backup, and so on.

Once you click into a product and start your questionnaire, the clinician explains exactly what the medication is, how it works, side effects, and how to take it — fully and clearly. The naming convention is purely about what we can say on a public-facing page.

What if I'm not honest in the questionnaire?

Don't be that guy. Seriously.

The questionnaire is confidential — only the clinician sees it. They're not judging you. They're checking that what you're asking for is safe given your actual health, what you take, what you do, and what you've had. Lying about this stuff can mean a treatment that's wrong or unsafe for your body.

If you're worried about something — number of partners, drug use, an STI history, anything — tell them. They've heard it. They won't react.

How fast does it actually arrive?

Most orders arrive within 2–3 working days of being approved by the clinician.

The questionnaire review usually happens the same day — often within a few hours. So from filling out the form to a box on your doormat, you're usually looking at 3–5 days total.

If you need something for a specific weekend, plan ahead.

What if the clinician says no?

You won't be charged for the treatment. The questionnaire itself is free.

The clinician will usually explain why — sometimes it's about a different treatment being more suitable, sometimes about a health condition that makes a treatment unsafe, sometimes it's about needing to see your GP in person first. The 'no' is part of the safety system, not a rejection.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. No contracts, no lock-in.

Cancel before your next refill ships and you won't be charged. You can also pause if you want a break for a few months. Manage it all from your account, no awkward "cancel hotline" — just click cancel.

What if I don't live in the UK?

Sorry — for now, our service is UK only. We're licensed to operate here and the pharmacy partner ships within the UK only. We're looking into expansion but no timeline yet.

If you're outside the UK, our supplements range ships worldwide.
