About this night

Sketch, Socialise, Connect.

Join us for a relaxed evening of life drawing in a body-positive, judgement-free room. Whether you haven't picked up a pencil since school or draw every week, this session is built for every skill level.

Our model will hold a series of poses through the evening while you sketch, chat quietly between poses, and enjoy the kind of focused, low-pressure creativity that gets conversation flowing without anyone having to try too hard.

But like all Friend of Dorothy events, this isn't just about the drawing.

It's about creating spaces where gay, bi, trans, non-binary and queer people can meet, talk and form real connections outside of apps and bars. With a small group and a relaxed creative atmosphere, it's easy to chat, laugh and get to know the people around you.

All materials provided, just bring yourself.

Come get creative. Meet new people. Leave with a sketchbook full of proof you tried. 🌈

Scared to come alone?

Most of our guys showed up solo too

It's the most common worry we hear. Here's how we make sure first-timers leave feeling like they belong.

1

You won't be the only solo guy

More than 60% of attendees come alone. The room is built for it.

2

We greet you at the door

Tell us it's your first time and we'll introduce you to people right away.

3

The activity does the work

You don't have to make small talk from cold.

4

Leave when you want

Stay for the social or head home early. Both are normal.

Finally a gay event where I felt seen

I'm 47 and most gay events make me feel ancient. This one had every type of guy — single, coupled, all ages.

My first gay event ever

Was so nervous to come alone. Within 10 minutes someone introduced themselves at the bar.

Worth every penny (which is barely any)

£10 for a line-up that would cost £40 anywhere else, plus a drink and a gift bag.
